I’m a Media Arts & Animation graduate of the Art Institute of Houston. I’ve always loved drawing, so making drawings move is what pulled me into animation, though AIH primarily taught 3d animation, which is super fun too - not so much the industrial and “technical” side of things, though, as the classes mainly focus on these aspects.
After graduating at the end of September in 2009, I started working in one of very few animation studios in Houston. About 2 months later, I had a half-day at work and, after days of reading Inkdick and American Elf, decided to start an autobio comic of my own. And that’s where What Errant Beast picks up.
As of March 25, 2010: Currently unemployed - this makes the start of month 3. No calls from any of the surely 100+ places applications were turned in, so I’m doing more comic-type things. Hopefully I’ll get hired before I become a hobo. Though the daily life of a hobo might be interesting… but you’d never read about it ‘cause hobos don’t gots no interwebs.
